M4ESTRO gathering in Milan, Italy
On February 25th and 26th, the M4ESTRO team traveled to Milan for the project’s first general assembly of 2025.
Partners gathered at Cefriel headquarters, the project coordinator, to discuss their scientific progress, achievements noted thus far and to look ahead at what further requires to be done. After successfully accomplishing its first full year of operations, significant research progress has been made in M4ESTRO. The two-day agenda centered on the use-cases that will validate the project's proposed solutions and presentation sessions on workflows, the most recent research progress regarding the M4ESTRO architecture and the platform designed to achieve resilience and timely preparedness in the manufacturing sector. This together with the supply chain during disruptive times by employing a MaaS approach. A major highlight was the plant visit to Caracol AM in Paderno Dugnano, one of M4ESTRO’s pilot sites. M4ESTRO’s solutions will be applied in the CARACOL site to tackle Invar 36 supply chain delays and shortages, ensuring that advanced manufacturing processes remain agile even during uncertain conditions.
As the overall landscape of the project's first year came into focus, it was clear that prospects for continued success are strong. Many thanks to our team members for the productive discussions and feedback, and to the organizers for a successful meeting!
